An enquiry is a request for contact. It does not confirm an appointment or your suitability for treatment.

Different materials.
The same personal approach.

Veneers cover the front of a tooth to change its appearance. The right option depends on your teeth, bite and priorities.

Made in a dental laboratory

Porcelain veneers

Thin ceramic shells, individually made and bonded to your teeth. Your dentist plans the shape and shade with you.

  • Usually placed over more than one appointment
  • Tooth preparation is often needed
  • Care, reviews and future replacement still matter
Shaped directly on your teeth

Composite veneers

Tooth-coloured resin is carefully shaped and polished on the tooth. This approach is sometimes called cosmetic bonding.

  • May be completed in a single appointment
  • Preparation varies with your individual teeth
  • May need more frequent polishing or repair

Your dentist may recommend an alternative, including whitening, orthodontics or no treatment.

details of a smile.

Before becoming a dentist, Dr Michael Tveshor worked as a dental technician. That background brings a practical understanding of how restorations are made.

He graduated in dentistry from the University of Sydney in 1993. His clinical interests include veneers, crowns and bridges.

At Better Smiles, the conversation starts with what matters to you and a careful look at your dental health.

A considered decision.
A plan you understand.

Colour, shape and small gaps may be part of the conversation. Your dentist also considers your gum health, enamel and bite.

Veneers aren't suitable for everyone. Treating decay, gum disease or grinding may need to come first.

Know what comes next.

You'll have time to ask questions and understand the proposed treatment before you decide.

  1. Talk & assess

Share your goals and have your teeth and gums assessed. Discuss whether veneers or another option makes sense.

  2. Plan together

Your dentist explains the proposed shape, shade, preparation, risks and costs. Scans or a preview may help with planning.

  3. Prepare & place

If you choose treatment, the material and your clinical needs determine the preparation and appointment sequence.

  4. Review & care

Check the fit and your bite, discuss care at home and plan ongoing dental reviews.

A few questions
you may have.

For advice about your own teeth, start with a consultation.

How do I know if veneers are right for me?

A dentist needs to assess your teeth, gums and bite. Veneers are one option, and whitening, orthodontics or other care may be more appropriate.

Will my teeth need to be prepared?

Porcelain veneers often require some enamel removal, which cannot be reversed. Composite treatment may need less preparation. Your dentist will explain what your teeth need before you decide.

How much will treatment cost?

The material, number of teeth and preparation required affect the cost. Ask our team about consultation fees. After assessment, your dentist can explain the proposed treatment and provide a personalised estimate.

How many appointments will I need?

Porcelain veneers usually involve planning and more than one treatment appointment. Composite bonding can sometimes be completed in one treatment visit. Your plan will set out the expected visits.

Do veneers last forever?

No. Veneers need ongoing care and can require repair or replacement. Your bite, grinding, oral hygiene and regular reviews all affect how they perform over time.

Does sending the form book an appointment?

No. It asks our team to contact you. We'll discuss your enquiry, available appointments and fees. You can also call reception on (02) 9387 1032.
